The Institute of Divine Metaphysical Research (IDMR) is a cult. Christianity accepts the Word of God which teaches that Jesus is the only begotten Son of God and the only man in whom God has appeared incarnate. Religions denying this doctrine are classified as cults.
The IDMR believes Jesus is one of many incarnations of God in man. They deny Jesus was resurrected from the dead in a body, but in spirit, only. Jesus proved he arose from the grave in a body as he told the apostles to touch the prints of the nails in his hands.
Jesus arose from death in the same body placed in the tomb, but it was changed at resurrection into a glorified body which was immortal with no limitations regarding time and eternity. When Jesus arose from the dead, he arose in a new immortal body of flesh and bones. Of course, no person knows the exact atomic structure of the new immortal body, except Christ.
Jesus is presently in heaven in his glorified body and God abides in Jesus, eternally. Jesus is the Temple of God forever. Jesus stated, “Destroy this Temple, and in three days, I will raise it again”. He was referring to his body prior his crucifixion and death.
There have been many false prophets and gurus claiming to be God’s only channel to mankind, and claim to have been personally appointed by God. Henry C. Kinley is one of many false prophets making this claim. Jesus is the only begotten Son of God, God incarnate.
All other men are tainted with sin. Man produces the blood for his offspring. The blood of Christ was generated by God and was untainted by sin. All other men have been born of man’s seed and born in sin. The IDMR cult denies that Jesus is the only begotten Son of God and the only incarnation of God in man.
The IDMR fails the crucial test of a legitimate Christian Church. They fail in many areas, but the denial of Jesus as the only incarnation of God in the flesh is the most crucial test.
Henry C. Kinley, the originator of IDMR is dead and in hell. At one time, Kinley was a preacher in the Church of God. He became disenchanted with Christian life and wanted more than was present in his life. He was not allowing Christ to live through his life, or he would have experienced the joy and peace of God’s love.
Kinley searched for a more fulfilling experience, because the promises of God were not good enough for him. This lack of faith proves he was not saved and did not have the indwelling of the Holy Ghost. Satan appeared to Kinley as an angel of light and convinced Kinley that he was the only channel of God to mankind. This is a normal result when one is dissatisfied with their life because they do not have the spirit of Christ dwelling in them.
Satan uses this void and easily fools a person who is devoid of faith in Christ. “Resist the devil and he will flee from you”, but seek some glorious feeling and Satan will find a substitute to make you feel important and feel good. It was obvious Kinley was more open to the feel-good approach from Satan rather than faith in the promises of God. Once Satan possesses a person, he blinds them to the truths of the Bible.
Suddenly, during his metaphysical studies, Kinley was blindsided by a vision. Kinley claims he was ushered into the third heaven, shown a map of the universe, and shown how the universe was structured. Maybe so or maybe not, but Satan and his spirits are aware of the layout of the universe.
Satan was the highest archangel in heaven and had privy to the entire universe. Angels oversee the works of the universe under the direction of God. They are his ministering spirits.
Henry C. Kinley said he met face-to-face with God, and God had a face like ours. Kinley actually met Satan face-to-face. Satan appears in almost any form he desires. Kinley declared that God incarnated himself into Kinley’s flesh, in the same manner as he incarnated himself in Jesus and others throughout history. We know God incarnated himself only one time and that was through his “only” begotten Son, Jesus. Henry C. Kinley was taken over (possessed) by Satan.
Satan possessed Kinley in the same manner he possesses others. Kinley said God would be incarnate in Kinley on the earth, and Kinley would have the only truth available for mankind. Sound familiar?
He not only stated he was God incarnate, but was also a prophet, and an apostle. Gee, he became everything all wrapped in one!
Muhammad claimed he talked with the angel, Gabriel. Muhammad declared he was a prophet and greater than the prophet, Jesus. Muhammad’s visions, received from Satan, became the writings of the Qur’an (Koran). Allah, the god of Islam, is actually Satan and the old pagan god, Baal.
The same happened with Joseph Smith of the Mormons (Latter Day Saints). He claims an angel, Moroni, gave him golden plates with updated information for the latter days. Joseph Smith claims to have met with John the Baptist and other Old Testament characters. Joseph Smith claimed to be the prophet for the latter days and a greater prophet than Jesus.
Mormons claim the “Book of Mormon” is a greater and more complete book than the Bible. No person saw the golden plates except Joseph Smith. The plates were suddenly taken back to heaven by the angel, Moroni. Under vigorous questioning, all who originally claimed to have seen the plates, eventually admitted they saw the plates only in a vision.
Charles Taze Russell, founder of the Jehovah’s Witnesses, claimed he, alone, had the sole authority to interpret scriptures.
Mary Eddy Baker of the Christian Science cult makes the same claim. She was their prophet, and she, only, had the ability to interpret scriptures correctly for them.
Buddha, a self proclaimed guru, became the major spokesman for the false cult of reincarnation and other mystic Eastern beliefs. Satan has been busy in the Eastern world. They have many gurus laying claim for the title of “chief guru” of reincarnation.
Herbert W. Armstrong was the author of the cult of the United Churches of God (many various branches). He claims he was Elijah reincarnated, a prophet, an apostle, and the only valid interpreter of scripture for the latter days.
The woods are full of false prophets who are blinded by Satan. Satan takes possession of their mind, and they become false prophets using God vainly. It is no wonder, Jesus said, “Many will come in my name, but believe them not”.
There are branches of the Pentecostals who state that a person is not saved unless he babbles, has been dunked in the creek, and has hands laid on him by little apostles.
We now understand why Paul wrote, “when perfection comes (all the books of the New Testament are complete), then all knowledge, prophecy, and tongues will cease.
Since the written Word of God was complete, there would be no more “knowledge” added to the Bible and no more “prophecy” added to the Bible.
This passage was placed in the Bible by the Holy Ghost, because he knew false cults would spring up from Satan claiming additional knowledge and prophecy.
There are many blinded by Satan, and will remain blinded until they cry out to Christ in forgiveness for their refusal to accept him as the only way to salvation.
